Deep Purpose was born from the hands of German artist Dorothee Kumpe. From a young age, she collected natural organic items and would find ways to incorporate them into mixed media art on canvas, and as wearable art. In 2020, Deep Purpose was launched, now encasing those treasured finds, in copper and resin. Copper plating and electro-forming is a meticulous process that allows real material to be preserved in the precious metal or coated as copper. The piece is then manipulated and enhanced as wearable art in the form of jewelry. Electro-forming organic material can take 5-200 hours.
Resin preserving insects, florals and now even more specimens, Deep Purpose offers ethically and sustainably sourced specimen set in resin on adjustable jewelry. Custom orders are always welcome including ash setting, pet preservation or memento mori, framing specimen and IPA wet specimens.
Pair with our natural stone bracelets and view our selection of resin set taxidermy bugs, insects and arachnids on stainless steel coordinating pieces.

We treat our customers with the honesty and respect they deserve as PEOPLE, not AI. We want clients to feel the same pride when wearing the pieces from our store, that we do in making them. From real copper to taxidermy bugs: should there be an issue, please reach out and we can solve it!
That being said, I am an artist, not a machine, and can not take responsibility for shipping issues, damages incurred after sale, and misuse of the product-these are art and hand made
